My oh My I Am Bad at Blogs!

Sooooooo basically the blog was fun the day we started it, and then we have yet to update it. Here is a quick recap of the events that have happened since the last blog

  • Halle Harker got even cuter
  • Kali found a sense of humor
  • Victoria has stopped biting her nails
  • I (Jordan) spent the last week obsessed with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
  • Victoria and I went to Lake Powell with The Simpson's (not the movie, the family)

Halle is growing up really fast! She is really long and super cute! Check out the Halle Harker blog linked on the right to see tons of cute pictures of her!

As for Kali......... I always thought she was really funny, but I also thought 90% of her humor was because she was clueless! But it turns out that Kali is actually trying to be funny, and is even doing a good job of it! Well done Kali!

Before we get too far in the blog, I am now going to post my Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I will try not to give away any of the ending, but no promises. OK, nevermind, I promise. Lets begin!

So we are in year 7 of the Fabulous! life of Harry Potter. We have seen him grow from a young lad being tortured by his aunt and uncle to the wizarding hero that we all know and love. The 7th book is a fantastic end to the series and clears up everything that you were curious about before!

If you plan on reading the book, let me give you a suggestion. Go to Wikipedia and read the summaries for the first 6 books. There was a lot that I forgot about that I needed to remember while reading the 7th.

My review is generally positive, however, I found one huge drawback to reading the book. I am now really really really mad that magic isn't real. I was driving back from Logan on Friday and I was suddenly really frustrated that I couldn't just apparate back to Provo. I was really upset about it.

I was in church today and I was focused on my program whispering "Wingardium Leviosa" and the crappy piece of paper wouldn't rise in the air. In frustration I stood up and screamed in the middle of church. OK, that's not true, but my scar did hurt!

So in Summary Harry Potter is a coming of age tale that should be read by anyone looking for a little light reading

I may have a future in book reviews.

So now to the pictures of us! We rocked Lake Powell last weekend with my Aunt Stacy, Uncle A.J. and my cousins Madison and Kennady. It was the first time that we (Victoria and I) have been to Lake Powell, and it was awesome! We are so lucky to have such awesome relatives that would take us with them! So onto the best pictures from the week.

We spent lots of time wakeboarding and it turns out Victoria is really good, and I can hold my own in the water!

That's me catching some air over the wake. I actually landed! ha ha.

Victoria getting more air than me!

Madison getting her Wake on

Kens showing off

All of us under Rainbow Bridge, the pictures isn't that clear, but it was pretty awesome either way!

So yeah, the blog is updated! There are so many more pictures from Lake Powell, and Victoria took some amazing pictures, which I will let her put up on the blog later! It was such an awesome weekend. We are headed back to Colorado on Tuesday to do all the engagement stuff, so hopefully we will get to see some of you while we are there! Sorry for ramblin'!

More exciting news!!!! Actually Just me Talking about stuff

I am really kind of excited that we have started our own blog! It will be fun to keep everyone updated on our really interesting lives.

So its officially official... we called and scheduled the temple today!!!!!! I am SO excited! I know that Jordan is happy that he found me because I will put up with him, but to be totally honest I am glad I found someone who will put up with me for eternity..... between the two of us I am convinced that I am more difficult to handle then he is! In all seriousness however I am so happy I found him. He so perfect for me and I truly am the luckiest person in the world!

So for those who have not met Jordan, I will tell a little bit about him. He grew up in Littleton Colorado, and he too is amazing at lacrosse. He played four years at BYU and finished out this last year with a national championship (yes Jordan you are truly an amazing lacrosse player and a national champion (he likes when people tell him that)). So pretty much I found everything I wanted in a guy, he plays lacrosse (and I am pretty sure he may be as addicted to it as my dad is, which for those of you who know him .....thats hard to do), and he is from Colorado, I am pretty much set to go. Its true the night we met Jordan sang karaoke to Neil Diamond and I pretty much decided at that point he was "the one".....as you can tell, they got WAY into it...... But we became inseparable pretty much immediately and I am pretty sure his friends hate me for taking him away from them, oh well life goes on. So anyways we are both way excited that we have found one another and I am really happy that I am marrying into such a wonderful family! They are so much fun and they are going to be great in laws! I cannot wait to move back to Colorado so we can all hang out! PS Halle Harker is SOOOO cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I miss her just thinking about her!

So thats about all.... OH WAIT before I forget!!!! Everyone who has not met Jordan's all time best friend in the whole wide world (well that is until I came along, then he got moved to 2nd place and I took over 1st...) This is Steve. And we are going to his wedding in a few weeks, which is exciting obviously because they are getting married..... but also because it is exactly three months away from when Jordan and I are getting married!!!! Oh goodness 122 and counting.......

Love you all!!

Victoria

The First Post and the Big News

So, in the new Harris tradition of blogging our lives, we have decided to start our own blog. We will probably switch off writing, so we will both sign our names at the bottom so you know who to blame.

So, to start the blog off with a bang we have big news that you have already heard from Mindy. Victoria and I are getting married!!! November 17th in the Denver temple. I couldn't be more excited. My best friend Steve said that it would take a really special girl to put up with me, and good news, I found her!

For those of you who don't know Victoria I will tell you a little bit about her, and the funny story about us. She is also from Denver. She is amazing at lacrosse and was on Scholarship at Denver University for two years before she ended up at BYU. She can beat the butts off half the guys on my BYU team. Anyway, we met really randomly and hit it off pretty quick. Let's be honest, the Neil Diamond karaoke the first night certainly helped! A few nights later we got to talking and found out that her aunt was my moms best friend that my mom has known since like 1st grade or 80 years ago or something.

So it was all pretty random, but it was a perfect fit. She is amazing she even thinks I'm funny! Anyway, I don't want to sound too cheesy, but she really is the perfect girl for me, and she fits in with my family amazingly well, which in it's self qualifies anyone for sainthood (Just ask my brother-in-law Max) PS the picture on the right is of some guy named Saint Max, not my brother-in-law.

So anyway, we are both extremely excited and so happy that both our families are so amazing. Honestly, it is perfect and November 17th cannot come soon enough! I'm most excited that when Victoria becomes Victoria Harris that she will have her own logo pre-made with her initials! (See Left)

I think she is most excited to be the newest Aunt to the cutest baby ever Halle Harker! (See tickeledpinkbaby.blogspot.com and picture to the right)

So thats about it for now! I'm sure she will get on and write some more sometime this week, but in the mean time I love all of you, and for those of you who haven't met Victoria yet, I can't wait for you to see how amazing she is! I love her tons, and I'm sure you guys all will too!

Love,

Jordan

P.S. Credit for the title of the blog has to be given to my cute cousin Madison. She came up with the name, so thanks Madison!
