The many faces of Halle......

I was going through some pictures and found a ton that I still have not edited of Halle. She is so hilarious I just had to put these up! I cant wait to see the other baby Harker at her age, good personalities and funny senses of humor run in the family :). Here she is, I am pretty sure most of the time she is just modeling for the camera!

One Year and Counting :)

So last weekend Jordan and I celebrated our one year anniversary! I cant believe that we have already been married for a year, its so crazy to me! We found a great deal on a little hotel up in Park City and went up there for the weekend to celebrate. The hotel was really nice, and had an awesome pool and two huge hot tubs! The pool had this little thing that you swam under so you could swim outside and inside and never have to get out of the pool to do it! And the hot tub was huge, it could fit seriously like 30 people and when the jets turned on Jordan said it looked like Fantasia (which apparently he thought was a creepy movie, weird boy). Well we went to the Olympic park and toured the museum there. The ski jumpers are insane, those jumps are HUGE. I was really surprised they were that big because that event is honestly not that exciting to watch. But for someone to actually go off one of those jumps... they are crazy! We then went to this place called the Red Rock Brewery and ate. I had this portobello mushroom sandwich on focaccia bread which was AMAZING, we got drinks and appetizers and I could barley move by the time we left! Side note.... there were a few restaurants we were looking at, and I got out of the car to look at a menu and some 50 year old guy was walking into the restaurant and was like "come on im buying!" It was super awkward, and I am pretty certain he was serious. Jordan said I should have taken him up on the offer and then told him my husband was coming to join us. After dinner we went to Rocky Mountain chocolate factory and got ice cream, then we swam and slept in the next morning (lucky for us there was a missionary farewell so we didnt have to get up for 8 am church like usual!) We had a great time and I look forward to celebrating many more anniversarys together :)

By the way...... Jordan started watching this show called Gossip Girl. Its pretty much the OC in New York with way more money. It is my new all time favorite show. We finished season one in like 5 days (18 episodes... I hope I pass college). And Kali wont give away any spoilers so I admit to those of you that watch it.... I have youtubed everything that happens through the current eposode with Blair and Chuck. I hate the games that happen with the one couple on shows that your just dying to have live happily ever after. It never happens. I sat through the same tourture with Greys Anatomy.

Projects

Lucky you, if your reading this you get to see yet another project that I am working on at school! Sorry it sort of consumes most of my time, I think Jordan and I will both be thrilled when we are both done. Well I have been busy working on some photography projects, this class has been a struggle for me because I really do not think the same way as the teacher. But I think I have made some pretty cool images. Here are the next two, the topic was beauty and he didn't want it to be cliche so hopefully these are far enough away from want most people would do. I choose to show the beauty of creation, they are not done yet, I have another week to work on them but here is where they are at now.

On another note, Jordan is a very artistic person and honestly I think if he wanted to he could probably make a living doing it. He loves playing around with photoshop and trying all sorts of new things. I think he actually has a much better eye for montage and adding stuff together then I am. Here are a few things he has done recently.

Well hope you all enjoyed those. We are celebrating our 1st anniversary this weekend in Park City! We are so excited and will have some fun pictures to post next week when we get back! YAY for the holidays, no more school, good food, and spending time with family, see most of you very soon!

On a brighter note.....

This semester I decided to take a figure drawing class, even though I was really nervous that I couldnt draw very well. It turns out this has been one of my favorite classes of my entire college career! Dont get me wrong, I LOVE photography and will never stop doing it, however I really enjoy drawing and think it really could add to my work later on down the road. Here are two that I did in class this week, and then pooh and snoopy were just me being bored and blowing off my homework. PS. Excuse the nakedness..... OH and kali cut and colored my hair last week and I LOVE it! hopefully I will get some pictures up of that soon!

ugh...

Well unfortunately for America we really had terrible choices with both presidential candidates this year. Wow. I will say the one thing that I was Super nervous about was passing Prop 8 which did and now I feel SO much better. I don't understand people's hate towards our church. For those of you who saw the stupid commercial with the two guys pretending to be missionaries (if you didn't see it, don't it will just make you angry) what in the world was that!?!?!?! Completely, 110% uncalled for and WAY out of line. I mean seriously, people are so out of control and the thing that is funny is most of them don't have the slightest clue what they are talking about. We are good people, and one of the things that bugs me more then anything is when they attack President Monson. Give me a break. It breaks my heart that our world has become so evil. It scares me to think of what our children will have to deal with. I take comfort in knowing that our kids will be able to face the trials they are given as long as we prepare them. Despite everything in this crazy world, I am proud to be a member of our church and be associated with everything that is wonderful about it.

Relaxing weekend... kind of!

We went down to St. George this weekend to spend some time with my grandparents and then go to Vegas for a day for the BYU lacrosse games. We had a really fun time seeing my Grandma and Grandpa Gogarty, they are so funny and we love spending time with them. It was nice to have a few days to just talk and relax with them at their house. On Saturday we drove to Vegas for four BYU lacrosse games. I did pictures for all of the games (hopefully I will get a chance to get them edited this week), sports photography is so much fun and I am so glad that I have opportunities to do it so often. Actually I think eventually I would like to get into it more because it is way more fun watching games through a lens then in the stands! I think I pay way more attention. I think Las Vegas is the most awful place in the world! It is so disgusting that there is a place where people go and absolutely loose all of their morals, and money just for a weekend of what they consider fun. Weird. Its dirty, and so gross you couldn't even smell the rain that was falling when we were walking around outside. Anyways we drove home this afternoon and we are excited to go back! I think we are actually going to go back in January to see them again and run the Half Marathon (with Heather and Jason)! Oh and tonight for dinner we made orange chicken...... new favorite meal! It was AMAZING! Here is the link if you want to try it!

http://www.recipezaar.com/103215

I made some adjustments to the recipe mainly because we didn't have everything we needed and it still turned out amazing!

I DID NOT add:
Ginger Root
Rice Wine
Sesame Oil

I DID add:
some orange juice. We doubled the orange sauce so I put in 3 tbsp of orange juice.

If you try it Enjoy!
